I have had an extremely rough rough rough year.... no one is following this blog anymore which is fair enough... wasn't really a show stealer..
Was pissing around on FB this morning, as I do most days, terrible terrible addiction. Came across a photo of a friend of the family who left NZ to live in Queensland this time last year. She is a single Mum of one and left here at the same weight I am, give or take. She was not really motivated and life was a bit hard. I have seen that heaps of her recent status updates are about fitness, sport, getting out there and I thought she must have taken a more active pathway. So I emailed her... as the photo I had seen was amazing, the transformation in a year is frankly astounding...
She messaged me back and said... I exercise hard out 6 days a week, I play basketball, netball, touch and volleyball... I started off loosely following WW points but quickly realised bread was my enemy and dairy gave me tummy aches.... I haven't looked back.
She is frankly a completely different person... I'd say she's lost over 35kg in a year...
I have started and failed attempts time and time again at this weight loss game. This year I have lost my marriage, my horses and most of what my life was about. I have moved north and have been accepted in the Bachelor of Nursing next year at the local polytech.
It's time to make a change, not a diet, not a temporary buzz, a change... a whole change of the way I view it all..
Stats will be posted in the morning... join me on my change of direction.

The Mojo and The Stats
The mojo is back.
I had an epiphany moment (AGAIN) last Tuesday and decided enough was enough.
Back to Personal Trainer but this time twice a week.
I weighed in at 107.3kg, I struggled to do basic lunges etc, my fitness was crap.
So I decided it started then and there. Healthy eating and exercising, water, loving myself, they all deserve to be priorities.
So the Stats as of today:
Weight: 104.8kg
Height: 165cm
Body fat %: 47.7 (WTF!!)
Bust: 119.5cm
Waist circumference(ideal male<100 female<90): 96.5cm
Abdomen (at belly button): 124cm
Hips: 127.5cm
Right Thigh: 73.5cm
Right Arm: 36cm
The only way I can from here is down. Down on the scales, down on the tape measure and down on the self doubt.
I am going to rock the Sunshine Coast.

4 Months Gone
Wow, four months have just breezed by and I haven't done a thing of substance. I have been studying really hard but other than that.... just getting flabbier and flabbier.
Have a 40th in Aussie on 3rd December, three months from today, time to amp it up.
I need support, motivation and drive...

Ummm, hi there....
remember me??
LOL.
So, have had a number of things happen, severe childhood sickness, death of a wee ten year old friend, the list goes on.
I have managed to keep my weight in check but the exercise has been barely existent.
I am at 103.4kg and Blair and I have our second weigh in with Pippa coming up this Saturday.
Our first stats were quite good and I have lost quite a few cms all over the place.
So this week back into focusing on my health and fitness.
Is it time for you too??
LOL.

There's a Grape in My Anus.....
dear Leiza dear Leiza....
Due to unexpected quantities of mass defaecating I have a huge haemorrhoid.
It hurts lots.
And lots.
Existing hurts.
That is all.

First Week
First week of my lifestyle change has been great. I have overcome a few obstacles and a few have overcome me. That's life I suppose. The key is learning to overcome the ones that have it over me. This week what has beaten me was my youngest getting a vomiting bug. Broken sleep and being at her side at her demand has left me shattered but I still managed to eat sensibly but I do need to learn to put exercise as my priority, even when the chips are down.
My weight this week is: 104.4kg so that's a loss of 2kg (4.4 lbs). A great start, have yet to measure as Blair has been away at work but when he's home will update this entry.

Housekeeping
First a little bit of housekeeping....
Pippa, previously known as the Pommy Bitch, is my personal trainer. She is a darling wee lass who has worked tirelessly with me over the past year to try and help me become fitter and healthier - she's watched me take 89 steps back and 19 steps forward and then some. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty and listened to all my stories, woes and fears. She has sat there while I have cried, she has listened when I have spilled forth my life history, she has laughed when I tell jokes.... she is an all round down-to-earth, bloody good sort.
My mother has given me a good bollocking for referring to her as the Pommy Bitch, and to be fair, it's not very nice of me to label her in this way, so I have come up with a better name: Pippa or Pip or Pippy, I don't need a label to tag her, she just is who she is, a genuinely lovely lady who is dedicated to seeing me and my family succeed.
So onwards:
I have not stopped being motivated. I don't know what the key is but I know that it has been turned..
I walked in the pouring rain for 40 mins on Tuesday night. Last night I got out and kicked the ball nonstop for 30mins, I was a bit bored with the same walk and tonight I plan to do my WALK/RUN to the tune of the BEEP TEST.
I have yet to get back on the swiss ball, which is important for me.
I had Salmon baked in foil with fresh dill and lemon juice with baked kumara, and veges stirfried in fresh garlic for tea Tuesday and last night was Fried Rice with Eggs and Vegetables. The food is key.
I have already had a few positive comments yesterday, only four days in, so I am quite adamant that Saturday morning's weighin will bring a good result.
What have you been doing to change your life?
